In the ending, it makes me think Souka narrating and saying something like "And they happily made wind tribe babies." LOL

kinda sad knowing a good cartoon end. well so its good bye avatar its been nice watching you.

and the "captain remembered my birthday" really cracked me up. That was hilariously brilliant.

That being said it is impossible for there not to be some kind of sequel due to the open end, and as said - where is book 4 Air. I think the whole "series finale" thing shouldn't even relate to anime, seeing as there is often a OVA or Sequel or Parallel series that comes out of it. *Sigh* I liked the shows with complete closure, now I'll have to wait until the next avatar book, series, or movie is profitable enough to be released. Le sigh indeed.
I don't think so.
Endings are supposed to have loose ends.
And "Book 4-Air"? No way.
The books have gone by whichever element Aang was learning, and he obviously already has that mastered.

No, I think it's definately over for the actual series.
Other than the live-action movie and maybe a few games, no more Avatar.

Sorry, but it's probably true.

well this may not be the end... they did leave room for a sequel, for ex. zuko said "wheres my mother" and also they never say what happend to azula. im seeing as either a possible sequel for azula as a villian or maybe they can go in a different direction and make a series about the avatar and the spirit world

This may be the end of the series, but the story isn't over.

As for comments on disappointment; everyone is bound to be sad a series they like is 'over' and endings are always going to construed differently by each viewer.

Some see this as a cop out, a way to make a larger profit. I would like to think that the story tellers, the animators, the creators have more than just profit in mind. It is hard to tell such a story without devoting some of yourself into it. There is definitely a very real possibility that ONLY because there is a profit to be made from keeping this series going that additions will be made and new stories will continue on. The real fear here, however, is dragging out a story to its limits, and degrading the original messages put forth, thus ruining the characters and original story.

In my mind, there is absolutely NO OTHER reason that Zuko would have asked his father where his mother was unless the question was going to be answered; she was too integral a person not to be answered for. Be it via video game, movie, or otherwise, it will be known.
Agreed with the lack of a "book of air". Seemed a bit unbalanced for a series that preaches balance as a main message.

All in all, great stuff. Regardless, great stuff.

i doubt it

i mean, i understand we all miss avatar and we want sequels and stuff, but if it did come out with a sequel, or azula as the new villain, many would see it as "theyre trying too hard", and i personally wouldnt like it

it would look too forced...like ovas :/ i never liked ovas

its like an old sports star playing until hes well beyond his limits and isnt even good anymore, im glad they left avatar at its prime, and didnt milk it for all its worth

pretty ironic that they made a series about the four elements with only three seasons ^^ well if it will be any more avatar (I doubt it will be) it will surely have another name and new or older characters ^^ well that only what i think and btw im longing for the movies at 2010 =) but well i hate children actors so I don't expect much thou lol ^^ xD
