Donate to Otaku

A donation button has been added to left sidebar, as seen on the image below, indicated by the red arrow. Donations are accepted via Paypal, and if you don't have a Paypal account you can use a debit/credit card as well. You can always contact me before making a donation, the website has expenses and we can save on fees and such by having donations sent directly to cover those expenses.


Any money collecting from donations will primarily be used to cover the cost of running the server, paid advertising/promotion and link development. Of course you can donate without being a registered member, but if you are a registered member you get some perks.


Registered members who donate are placed in a special usergroup so be sure to send me a PM (or use the contact form if you don't have 10 posts) about your donation so that I know who to promote. You get the following perks:

• All ads removed
• Bold and orange colored username
• Donating Member as extra title
• Store 1000 PMs
• Personal image album with 100 images
  
• Customize your main user title (the title based on your post count)
• Use 100x100 and animated avatars just like "otaku elite" and "otaku legend" members (who do it thanks to their post count)
• Can create 2 social groups just like "otaku legends" can
  
• Access the ecchi and hentai image galleries (~300 images in there now, high quality standards)
• Allowed to change your username if needed
  
• Maybe more things in the future, who knows...
  

The price for being in the donating usergroup is $2 per month, but the minimum donation is $5 (see smallprint). Donations $25 or higher (or $30 cumulative) gives you a permanent membership.

If you don't have Paypal and got no access to a debit or credit card but still wish to donate you can always PM me and we can figure something out.

*Paypal fees for me when reciving payments are 1.9% to 2.9% + $0.30 USD, and it costs extra for me to process, so don't send any $1 USD donations, I can't honor them. $5 is the minimum donation. Send smaller and you lose your money, no refunds.

Yeah...Paypal is in the business of making money too, but the fee is too high for tiny transactions. Anyway, a couple of bucks is a good idea, otherwise it's hardly worth it.

Your life becomes so much easier once you've got your own bank or credit card (bank card better, since you can't spend money you don't have with that hehe).... since you can do pretty much all your shopping on the Internet and everything is cheaper.

Yes it is

People think it isn't, but if you can convince the masses otherwise a lot of "small" $5 donations will in the end add up to a lot more than a few large $50 donations.
